The 2018-19 ACAR is now open, giving aged care providers the chance to apply for Government-funded aged care facilities and financial aid. The process welcomes developments and change in the aged care industry, with a chance ‘to apply for 13,500 residential care places, 775 Short-term restorative care places, and up to $60 million in capital grants’ across rural, regional and remote areas.
Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt has stated that ‘this is the largest number of residential places to have been made available in a single ACAR and is an important part of our government’s $5 billion Budget boost for aged care’.
This record-breaking ACAR will spark greater investment and provide the necessary support for this industry, as well as introduce an increased amount of employment opportunities.
Connect welcome’s any enquiries and are willing to help wherever we can if you are interested in entering this year’s ACAR. Applications close on the 10th of August, 2018, at 11.59pm (AEST).
